Automatisch neubenennen...

Sorry, but I have to write this in english...

I am using the FinePix application to store and administer my photos on my PC. As I used the "automatically re-name" ("automatisch neubenennen) function today all of the photos in that folder was deleted!!! How can I restore these photos? I urgently need some of the photos to develop.

Hello Gronros,

please take a look at the automatically-rename settings of the FinePix Viewer. There is a little controll box in the settings- menu named something like: delete the original files after renaming. When this funktion is activated, the software copied the renamed pictures into antother folder on your PC and delete the original files. So I think, you don´t have to restore the original files, you have to search for the new folder with the renamed pictures.

I am afraid there is no new folder with the photos on my PC. 8 of the photos were saved in the original folder after re-naming, but all the others (approx 50) are gone.
In the "Einstellung" menu in the "Einstellung für automatische Annahme" the function "Neubenennen" and "Ordner Erstellen" are activated. The "Die ursprüngliche Datei löschen" is not activated.
Any other ideas how to find the photos?
